Dr. Russ Granich currently serves as Regional Medical Director for Palliative Care for Hartford HealthCare. He retired from Kaiser Permanente in 2018 where he served as the Chief of Geriatrics, Community Based Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Care in San Francisco. He also served as Physician Lead for Nursing Homes, Home Health and Eldercare for all of Northern California. Dr. Granich left Kaiser Permanente to become the Chief Medical Officer of a hospice facility in California. He relocated to Connecticut in 2021 to work for Hartford HealthCare. He is board certified in both internal medicine and hospice & palliative medicine. Dr. Granich has been recognized for his exemplary leadership by the California State Legislature and the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California.
