Wound Care Center of Excellence

Our Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center provides patients in central Connecticut with interdisciplinary and comprehensive treatment for non-healing wounds.

The Center offers a variety of advanced wound treatment techniques and products. Treatment is provided on an outpatient basis. Patients are also taught to care for their wounds at home and are given information on nutrition and exercise that may aid the healing process and prevent future wounds. Patients with more aggressive non-healing wounds are taught how to care for their wounds and use specialty devices to prevent further wounds from developing.

The Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center includes four exam rooms, plus a suite with two large, clear acrylic hyperbaric oxygen chambers. Each chamber equipped with its own TV, with cable network connections, for patient comfort.

The Wound Care Center is located at 5 Highland Street, New Britain at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and at 22 Pine Street, Bristol in the Bristol Family Health Center building. Patients can self-refer to the Center, or be referred by a physician.
