Computerized Tomography (CT) Scan

The computerized tomography (CT) scan is actually a computer-enhanced X-ray procedure. CT scans create a three-dimensional view (called a "slice") of a particular body structure.

The computer assembles the different "slices" to create a three-dimensional view of the structure, clearly showing both bone and soft tissue. The hospital will soon offer virtual colonoscopy scans and cardiac scans.
