The Hospital of Central Connecticut has full-service medical laboratories that offer a variety of services located in two locations.
Test Results
Most routine test results are generally complete within 24 hours after specimens are received in the laboratory. The full report is either delivered personally to your doctor's office via courier, electronically available in the physician’s electronic medical records, or faxed to their office.
Diagnostic Centers / Specimen Collection Centers
The hospital's diagnostic centers are staffed by highly skilled healthcare professionals. All are accessible for people with disabilities.
All specimens drawn at these locations throughout the day are processed and delivered to our main laboratory facility. Most tests and procedures are covered by major health insurance policies.
Staff
The laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by specially trained technicians and client services representatives. The oversight of the laboratory is provided by board-certified pathologists who are available for consultation with your physician.
